Haven't updated since Tuesday because I was crying in a corner listening to linkin park

There are two things that get me really mad. Well in reality it's one thing but it has two events in my life. People's ignorance towards video games and anime. We live in a revolutionary world... and it is rapidly progressing way past what Moore's law could ever predict. The NES came out twenty years ago... that isn't a very long time if you think how far we have gotten. An 8 bit system to a full 1080P native resolution system. Video games are still frowned upon in our community by dumbing everyone down... Now if you only play call of duty ( the biggest bro game ever and the destruction of society and gaming in general) you would be correct. However, there is a multitude of gaming out there. People say why don't you read a book... well I've played games that rival reading a book. The final fantasy series makes you read three times the amount of the average novel while entertaining and stimulating other parts of your brain as well. In fact Final Fantasy 6 taught me how to speed read. I feel that we should embrace this technology and embrace this form of entertainment. Sure there is some sense of mindlessness to it, but there are a lot of mindless things in the world. Video games don't deserve all the persecution. So I urge everyone who is reading this to dust off their copies of Super Mario RPG... Final Fantasy... and other various games to stimulate their minds and take them on an adventure.

With video games covered the next problem I face myself with is societies strife against Anime. The first preconceived notion is that it is a cartoon... therefore it is for children. I disagree with this because the fact that it is drawn is just a new medium to deliver content otherwise undeliverable. It is much easier to draw violent scenes because you can actually hit your target and shoot blood out without faking it. In real life stunt coordinators and stunt doubles would need to be involved... and it is easy to tell that they are punching the air. It gives it a much realistic feel ironically. The other gripe society has with it is the fact that they don't like the plot lines of it. Well think about your T.V. How many shows do you watch on there and compare it to how many shows you hate on it. If you can't see what I am getting at... it is the fact that anime is just like any other thing. It has different genre's... different plots... different everything. No matter what your taste I guarantee there is an anime to cater to it. Sure it may be over the top and really brightly colored with Japanese marketing... but people need to embrace foreign things as much as domestic things. I believe that everyone could enjoy a good anime out there. In fact I got my sister to watch one with me last summer. She watched the whole series and actually kept me up at night to watch them instead of the other way around. She is also the complete social opposite of me in the fact that she is a huge partier and socialite. Yet even she could enjoy a good anime ( Trigun to be specific). Therefore I once again embrace everyone to enjoy a good anime and add it to your list. I hope everyone finds what they are looking for. Also, next time don't judge people who watch anime.... you are only proving your own ignorance.
